OPA offers testing and assessment (psychological, educational and neurocognitive) services for the purposes of evaluating a patient toward the effort of arriving at a definitive diagnosis. The testing and assessment process also provides an opportunity to identify particular strengths and weaknesses of an individual patient. Understanding strengths and weaknesses of a patient significantly improves the accuracy and efficacy of a treatment plan. Typical concerns that warrant testing and assessment include ADHD, Learning "differences" (otherwise known as Learning Disorders, most notably reading and math), Mood/Affect Disorders (Depression, Anxiety, etc.), Dementia or related Cognitive Disorders (Brain Injury) and other types of conditions and disorders.
